Just what I expected. I bought the case to prevent scratches and to prevent an accidental drop or small spill from killing my brand new 80GB classic. This one works fine. It comes with two backs to fit either the 80 or 160.
One small note - it adds a little width that might prevent inserting your Ipod into a dock.

This a great, simple case. It doesn't hide how good my new iPod looks, but it has good overall protection. It adds a little bulk to the iPod, but it's not too bad. I tried the Griffin case that has a silver reflective front - but it gave a dark gray tint to the screen which is no good for watching movies.

just got mine today and i love it. it fits my 80gb ipod nicely. the back of the case is opaque but still clear that you can see the apple logo. watching a movie is nice and clear. highly recommend getting this case or any other case because ipod's have a high tendency of getting scratched especially in the back.

This works perfectly for my new 6g 120gb ipod. It fits snugly, though I do have a skin on it that may increase the width just a bit. I have also easily taken it off with a quarter twice with no scratches or even much effort. Very happy so far!

Bought my first hard shell case for my nano from Radio Shack. Once I got my classic, this was the first purchase I made for it. Excellent cases, and insurance for your precious iPod for little money. Well worth it!
